Bob Robbins is co-founder and Managing Principal of Robbins Farley. With over 20 years of experience as a Financial Advisor and Portfolio Manager, Bob works with clients to develop, implement, and manage comprehensive wealth planning strategies. As a niche, Bob assists professional executives and owners of privately-held businesses to develop strategies, helping guide them through major liquidity events by leveraging his previous successful career as a serial entrepreneur.

Bob graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and engaged in graduate study and research at Cornell University. After a career as an electrical engineer, he explored his interest in the cause and effect of economic indicators on financial and business cycles. As a Private Investment Manager (PIM), he incorporates those studies into the Robbins Farley portfolio management philosophy.

As Managing Principal, Bob collaboratively works with the team. He applies his years of experience to help guide the practice. He also holds the designation of Certified Portfolio Manager (CPM®) and is a member of the Board of the Academy of Certified Portfolio Managers. By integrating his experience and knowledge, Bob is uniquely situated to navigate the needs facing small businesses, professional practices, and individuals to help them achieve their wealth management goals.

Away from the office, Bob pursues his passion and love of music. He has played his trumpet professionally since his teenage years, and today plays regularly with the Nottingham Brass Quintet and the Volare Jazz Band. Bob is an avid sailor and enjoys golfing, cycling, and cross-country skiing with his wife, Lucille, children, and grandchildren.
